Hello there. I’m Mick Howell

A bit about me

It was 1999 and I set upon a new career path by becoming a driving instructor.

Since then I’ve run my own business and I absolutely love it. I don’t just teach people test routes, I teach people to drive under different conditions. I’ve always done it this way because I believe this is what will keep people safe when they gain their full licence.

Since becoming a driving instructor, I’ve undertaken various qualifications to keep my skills and knowledge up-to-date. These include gaining:

• Cardington GRADE A

• ROSPA GOLD

• DIA Advanced Driving Instructor

All driving instructors also have to have their tuition checked by DVSA on a periodic basis. This can be registered as a Grade A or B. The maximum points that everybody can score is 51 points. On my last check test last year I achieved 49 out of 51 points and a Grade A.

Getting to know me. Hobbies and interests

We’ll be spending quite a bit of time together whilst you’re learning to drive, so it’s good to have an understanding of each other. Here’s some of my hobbies and interests. Hopefully you enjoy some of these too but it’s not the end of the world if not. I’m sure we’ll have plenty to talk about, especially when it comes to learning to drive.
